About Rachel Elizabeth
I’m Rachel Elizabeth, a freelance artist based in the UK, with over 20 years’ experience working across public, commercial, and residential settings. I hold a BA (Hons) in Fine Art from Leeds University, where I studied Fine Art with Photography.
My practice spans large- and small-scale commissions, including murals, site-specific artwork, and collaborative projects. I work across a range of materials and techniques, including acrylic and oil paint, ink, watercolour, masonry, metal, and screen printing. This broad material background informs a flexible, thoughtful approach to each project, allowing the work to respond carefully to its environment, scale, and purpose.
I’m particularly interested in how visual environments affect how spaces feel and function. Much of my work draws on nature, place, and rhythm, using considered colour and form to create murals that support wellbeing and feel appropriate to their setting. I value the full process , from early conversations and design development through to the finished artwork, and work closely with clients to ensure each project is practical, durable, and well resolved.
My Mini Shedio
Alongside commissioned work, I founded My Mini Shedio, a small creative studio that grew from working in my garden shed while raising my children. That space became a place for experimentation, learning, and making, shaping a practice rooted in curiosity, material exploration, and independence.
The ethos of My Mini Shedio continues to inform my wider work today: valuing process, making time for ideas to develop, and allowing creativity to grow within real, lived environments.
